Tanguy Mathon, CEO blu.e by ENGIE
blu.e is a result of the innovation initiative of the ENGIE Group, dedicated to improving energy efficiency in industry using information technologies. The unit is managed by Tanguy Mathon, aged 50, who has spent his entire career internationally devoted to improving the operational performance of key industrial accounts, within the Air Liquide Group for 20 years, then as an independent entrepreneur, and finally as an "intrapreneur" within the ENGIE Group.
blu.e makes sustainable savings without investment, giving the first measurable profits in
less than 3 months after its connection to a facility.
The goal of our teams, working in project mode, is to generate profitable projects for our customers over time, to reduce our customers’ energy and environmental footprint, and to catalyze the positive energy and innovation of our customers and partners.
We test our technologies on our own facilities before sharing them with our customers.
NWe work mainly with large energy-intensive accounts in sectors as diverse as the materials, food and chemistry sectors (to name a few).
Our work is based on empirical data analysis rather than on a probabilistic analysis: the identified scope for improvement is real and achievable.
Our big data module allows to define and quantify the improvement potential, leading to energy savings, improved productivity, reduced emissions, etc.
We believe that information technology and professional skills are
the two main drivers of energy efficiency.
blu.e acts as an integrator of solutions and expertise in an open ecosystem of partners inside and outside the ENGIE Group.
